Wade or Drift Fishing
Wading is one of the most rewarding styles of fishing the mid-coast. Getting waste deep in the water with the fish gives you an option to go one on one while you cool off in the summer heat. Quality rods, reels and lures will be included. All you need to supply are your wading boots, wading gear and waders depending on the water temperature, and feel free to bring your personal tackle.
If wading does not appeal to your party, we can drift or anchor the backlakes, reefs, sloughs and flats surrounding Port O’Connor. Casting soft plastic lures or shrimp under a popping cork are preferred methods on a drift. When anchored, live finfish are very effective freelined or fished on the bottom.Redfish and trout are the primary targets, but occasionally we will catch good-eating black drum, sheepshead and flounder. Fish cleaning and bagging included at the end of the trip.
